The development of a new extension at the clients existing main factory to accommodate the replacement of an older off-site paint shop. The new provision provides state of the art facilities, delivering efficiency improvements alongside being more environmentally friendly. The works included the shell construction, fit out alongside specialist sub-contractors, and the construction of an external emissions plant area to facilitate the building programme.
An already complex project that required good co-ordination between the client, design team, specialist sub-contractor and main contractor was made all that more challenging by being undertaken within a live factory environment. The proposed use of the building also required us to liaise with the environment agency whilst detailing and constructing the extraction plant compound.
The complexity of the project was managed and simplified through good co-ordination and communication by all parties from concept design onwards, creating a well considered scheme that could be readily constructed. The building delivered Triumph a purpose built state of the art paint shop facility on-site, increasing the overall business efficiency by centralising this operation.
