The refurbishment and redevelopment of an existing industrial premises for Triumph Motorcycles Limited. The works were split and comprised the conversion of two bays of an existing warehouse into a first floor office facility with ancillary spaces, and a ground floor purpose built training workshop and classroom. At the entrance end of the building we introduced a global sales office, sample showroom for Triumph dealers, associated offices and a coffee shop facility.
As we were working with an existing building consideration had to be given to the most appropriate structural solution to ensure the new load imposed on the existing structure was appropriate. The client had a fixed budget for the works and we ensured the proposal was the most efficient iteration of itself to deliver cost benefits.
The scheme saw us work closely with the client, project structural engineer and specialist contractor to design a lightweight mezzanine structure with lightweight partitioning. We worked through a number of options to develop the most efficient and suitable design, delivering the most structurally and economically efficient scheme.
